03.01 What are Projects?

Last Updated: 2022-05-09 11:02

There are two ways projects get added to your Organization's project list:

  • Someone in your organization accesses a project in Project Intelligence and sends it to ConstructConnect Takeoff.
  • Someone in your organization creates a project in ConstructConnect Takeoff.

The only difference between Project Intelligence projects and those you create manually is how Plan Sets are created and updated.

Just because a project exists in your Organization does not mean you see it in your Projects and Bids List. The Project Owner can restrict access at any time, including setting projects to "read-only" or even removing them from other users' view entirely.

Learning Goal
At the end of this chapter, you should understand the difference between a Project Intelligence project and one you create yourself. You should also understand what projects and bids are, how to create them, and how to add an initial Plan Set to a new project. We also cover managing access to your projects, for both internal users as well as external users outside your organization.
