05.21 The Takeoff Tab Status Bar and Zoom Controls
Last Updated: 2022-03-31 07:04 |
The Takeoff Tab Status Bar displays along the bottom of the main application window (it cannot be undocked). The Status Bar shows you quite a lot of important information. From left to right: - The Organization and User Name
- Page Information for the active Takeoff Window, including:
- The Page Number and total number of Pages in the bid
- If you are drawing linear or area takeoff, the segment's dimensions (as you are drawing takeoff)
- The Page's dimensions - based on the plan
- The Active Area indicator - displays the Bid Area currently selected in the (Bid) Areas list (see 08.05.01 What are "Selected" Areas and What is the "Active Area" for details)
- Zoom Controls
Page Information (Page X of Y (8 of 49, in the screenshot above), Page Size, Active Area, and Zoom settings) is shown for the active Takeoff window - when you change the focus (when you hover over or click on a different Takeoff window), the information for the new active Takeoff window displays in the Status Bar. This can be a little confusing at first because the information in the Status Bar may not match the page displayed directly above it in the main interface. Example, if you have an undocked Takeoff Window and that window has focus, the status bar shows information for that undocked window. As you draw takeoff, the current segment length is displayed in the Status Bar - this can make drawing a segment to a precise length much easier (if you are following a known or indicated length on a plan). Zoom ControlsThe Zoom Controls located on the Status Bar compliment the Zoom Tool located on the Main Toolbar. Button | Description | Keyboard Shortcut | What it does/How it is used... |
