13.01 The Summary and Worksheet Tabs
Last Updated: 2022-03-22 12:06 |
Way back in Chapter 1 we introduced you to the Summary and Worksheet Tabs. In this chapter, we do a deep-dive on how to use these Tabs to analyse your takeoff results, export to Excel and Quick Bid, and create a rough unit cost estimate. The tools on the Summary Tab are similar to pivot table controls you might find in a spreadsheet program. Many users will never need this much flexibility, but it is there if you need it. The Summary Tab allows you to group and filter your takeoff results so you can see how much occurs in each group (such as by Bid Area or Takeoff Item Type) and makes it easy to identify takeoff you have not assigned to a Bid Area. The Worksheet Tab allows you to enter Material, Labor, Equipment, Other, and Sub pricing to your aggregate Takeoff Results for a "quick and dirty" unit cost estimate. The Worksheet Tab also is used to export takeoff data for import into Quick Bidâ„¢. By the end of this chapter, you should understand the advanced functions of the Summary and Worksheet Tabs including grouping, filtering, exporting, and pricing.
