05.13.01 The Takeoff Items Pane Toolbar

At the bottom of the Takeoff Items Pane (Previous Article) is the Takeoff Item Pane Toolbar.

Button	Description	Shortcut Key	What it does/How it is used...
	New Takeoff Item	Insert button	Opens the New Takeoff Item Wizard, if enabled, or a new, blank Takeoff Item Properties dialog box. See Related Articles for more information on setting your user preferences.
	Edit	F2	Opens the Takeoff Item Properties for the selected Takeoff Item (you can also double-click on a Takeoff Item in the list to open its Properties).
	Delete Takeoff Item	DEL or Delete	Deletes the selected Takeoff Item(s). Warning This permanently and irreversibly deletes the selected Takeoff Item(s) and all related Takeoff objects, on every Page in the current Bid, drawn with that Takeoff Item(s). This action cannot be undone.
	Duplicate	CTRL + D	Duplicates the selected Takeoff Item(s) and assigns a different color but leaves the name the same. Be sure to update the name so you can tell the two apart. Does not duplicate any takeoff, just the Takeoff Item(s).
	Select Objects	CTRL + T	Selects takeoff objects on the active Takeoff Window (if you have multiple open) for the selected Takeoff Item(s). If you click on a different Takeoff Window and click this button again, the objects in the first window remain selected. This is a handy way to reassign takeoff on multiple Pages to a different Takeoff Item. See Related Articles for more information on Selecting and Editing Takeoff objects.
