05.07 Revision and Set Navigation Toolbar

Last Updated: 2022-09-01 12:17

At the bottom of every Takeoff Window is the Revision and Set Navigator toolbar which includes the Rotate and Overlay controls. These controls allow you to:

  • Navigate between different revisions of a Page (if there are any)
  • Rotate the current Page (the plan, takeoff, annotations), by 90° increments
  • Toggle the Overlay function (comparing two plans) on or off

the revision-set navigation toolbar is at the bottom of each takeoff window

Here is a closeup of the toolbar for a Bid with three Plan Sets...

the revision-set navigation toolbar is at the bottom of each takeoff window

If you are trying to navigate between Pages (change the Plan and its Takeoff you are viewing in the Takeoff Window), use the Page Navigation control in the main toolbar. The Revision and Set Navigator allows you to navigate between Revisions of the current Plan (on same Page).

Overlays and Revisions

You can (visually) compare multiple versions of the same Plan by opening the same Plan in multiple Takeoff Windows and then select a different revision in each window.

You can only use Overlay when there are newer Revisions of a Plan to compare the active Plan Set to (you can't select an older revision to compare the currently selected Revision to, you can only select newer Revisions).

When Overlays are turned on, the Overlay Toolbar displays where the Takeoff Tools are shown when a Takeoff Item (formerly known as "Condition") is selected (on the left side of the Image Window). The Overlay Toolbar is replaced with the appropriate Takeoff Tools toolbar when you click on a Takeoff Item.
