10.13 Using Capture View

Although not exactly a plan markup, Capture View is included in the Annotations Toolbar.

There are three functions available using the Capture View:

• - Capture Screen to Clipboard (the default function), click the little triangle at the bottom to select one of the other tools...
• Copies the current view of the Takeoff window to the Windows Clipboard (takes a screenshot).
• To use this capture, open the program into which you want to paste the screenshot (such as Word, an e-Mail, Paint, etc.) and then press Ctrl+V or that program's Paste button to paste the screenshot wherever you want.
• - Capture to PDF
• You can save the current view of the Takeoff window to a PDF.
• Choose where you want to save the file.
• After you save the PDF, you can e-mail it to anyone else, even if they do not have access to your Organization or this Project.
• - Capture to Image File (jpg, jpeg, or png) 
  • You can save the current view of the Takeoff window to either a jpg, jpeg, or png file.
  • Choose where you want to save the file.
  • After you save the image file, you can use it in any program you want, for example, you may attach it to an e-mail, or paste it into a Word Doc or Excel spreadsheet.
