15.04.01 Printing the Current View

By Default, ConstructConnect Takeoff sets the Print Preview to your Current View.

The "Current View" is whatever currently is being displayed in the active Takeoff window. If you have multiple Takeoff Windows open, active means the Takeoff window that is selected (has focus) when you press Ctrl + P, or the Takeoff window in which your clicked the Print button.

Make sure your Takeoff window shows exactly what you want to print, then click the Print button, remember, WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).

The Preview windows opens, click on the Pages tab to verify what will be printed.

Printing to Scale

To print the "Current View" to scale (full size), set your Zoom to 100% in the Takeoff Window and then adjust your panning to show you the region of the plan you would like to print.

To print an entire Page "to scale" (full size), your printer must support the same page size as the Plan - meaning, if the Plan is 36x48 (Arch E), your printer must support that page size, or your print out will be spread over multiple sheets of paper. If necessary, consult the documentation for your printer to setup a "Custom Page" size that matches the Plans you want to print.

Notice the setup list shows "Current View" and the Page that was displayed in the Takeoff Window is checked in the Pages list.

When "Current View" is selected, you cannot select other Pages (but you can always select a different print option from the drop-down).
