Named Views and Hot Links are used together to provide an easy way to navigate to detail Pages in your bid. They act as shortcuts of a sort to allow you to jump to details, sections, or elevations easily and quickly.
- A Named View is a defined location on a Plan in your Bid - often a floorplan Page references some Detail Page or a section/region of a Detail page.
- A Hot Link is a shortcut to a Named View. A Hot Link provides a way to quickly jump to a Named View from any Page in a Bid (kind of like a hyperlink).

Opening a Named View from Views Pane
Typically, you will use a Hot Link to "jump to" a Named View, but you can use the Views Pane to navigate to a Named View also.
Open the Views Pane (by default, it is in the right slide-out - see Related Articles for more information on docking/moving Panes).
Click the Open Related Page button 
next to the Named View in the list
A new Takeoff Window opens (another Tab is created) and your Named View is shown.
Only one "
Named View Tab" is ever opened - if you click another Open Related
Page button, the existing "
Named View" Tab updates to show the newly selected
Named View.
Show-Hide
You can toggle the Links/Views Layer to temporarily hide Named View frames and Hot Links on your plans, see Using the Layers Pane to Create, Manage, and Show-Hide Layers for details.
